My name is Melissa Hall. I am a DONA certified birth doula and Hypnobabies Childbirth Hypnosis Doula serving Oklahoma City and the surrounding areas. My goal is to give non-judgemental support to help families achieve the birth they want.
I’ve been married to my husband for 19 years and we have 3 kids and 1 angel baby. I homeschool, love to cook, and really enjoy helping people with freezer meal tips, which is also very helpful to new moms during their postpartum recovery.
The birth of my own children led me on the path of being a birth doula. I know that information and education can make a difference in feeling like either the birth is happening to you or that you are being an active participant in making the decisions that are right for you. I also understand that the memories of the birth of a child will stay with a woman the rest of her life. My hope is to help encourage and support you and your family through the pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum journey so that the memory of your birth is one of joy, satisfaction, and empowerment.
My love of infants and childbirth was instilled in me at a young age by my mother, she delivered 6 children at home, un-medicated, and a child in the hospital via Cesarean. I grew up familiar with childbirth and infant care. As a young adult I worked in the foster care community and helped provide care for over 160 foster infants and children. I also worked as a nanny for several families.
During that time, the idea of training as a postpartum doula came up on my radar. I attended Bastyr University’s postpartum doula training. As I began my work supporting families during the postpartum time, I realized that I also felt passionately about supporting families during birth. So I also attended a birth doula training.
I am thrilled to be providing support for families during their birth story and their postpartum time! I relish fostering strong connections between the infant and the family!
I have been a professional photographer for 13 years and have recently started focusing more on Lifestyle and Birth Photography. Lifestyle & Birth Photography tug at my heart as an artist. Life is a gift. A precious gift. I use my photography skills to capture life unfolding right before me rather than trying to stage it.
I met my rad husband in Mexico when I was 17 yrs old. We married a year later and now have 5 gorgeous babies, some bio, some adopted, all awesome!!!
When I’m not working on photography, you will more than likely find me homeschooling my children, or cooking meals from scratch. Both are a full time job. Both bring me a lot of pleasure. Both wear me smooth out. I wouldn’t trade my life for anything in the world. I literally have everything I ever prayed for. How many people can say that?
I would be honored to get to document all your “firsts”.

I’m Crystal and I’m a wife, mother, midwife assistant, birth doula, and childbirth educator. My journey into birth work began in 1997 when I delivered to my first child. It was traumatic for the both of us! I decided to make better decisions with my next baby and had a much better experience! I decided to have an out of hospital birth with my third, but sadly ended in an emergency cesarean, to which I’m very thankful for, because it’s what my baby needed to be healthy! I went on to have 5 VBACs with my last being born safely at home!
Over the years of having babies, I grew a passion for all things birth so I decided to take the plunge into the becoming a doula. From there, I became a Hypno-Doula and Lamaze certified childbirth educator. In 2016 I began working with a fabulous group of homebirth midwives as an assistant and I’m soaking in all their wonderful knowledge! I hope that I’m just in the beginning of a long career in birth work!
